Product Classifications;
As a general rule, all BRM Type A designs meet the requirements of IP-2 and IP-3.

• IP-1 (also known as “Strong Tight”) meeting the general design requirements of 49CFR§173.410
• IP-2 meeting the requirements for IP-1 PLUS the testing requirements of 49CFR§173.465(c)(1) & (d)
• IP-3 meeting the requirements of IP-1 and IP-2, plus the requirements of 49CFR§173.412 (a) through (j).
• TYPE A meeting the requirements of IP-1, IP-2 and IP-3, plus the testing requirements of 49CFR§173.465 (b) & (e)
• TYPE AF (certification for packages containing fissile material) meeting all TYPE A requirements plus the testing requirements of 49CFR§173.465(c)(2)

IP-1 [Strong Tight] Containers - IP-1 containers form the core or our Low Level Waste business. Standard (pre-designed) sizes and capacities from 2.34 ft3 to 1,620 ft3.
